As part of our efforts to create university-launched venture companies in the region, we have launched the PSI (Peace & Science Innovation Ecosystem). The GAP Fund Program will be launched as the first and largest start-up support fund in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions.
The program aims to create university-launched ventures that aim for the global market, and those that have a high social impact and contribute to the achievement of the SDGs and the resolution of social issues in local communities, based on the seeds of innovative technologies from universities. The aim is to create, discovering technology seeds from universities, recruiting and selecting appropriate research and development projects.
We are pleased to announce that companies that are members of the Hiroshima Love it Consortium are invited to become members of the Startup Screening Committee and to attend the Demo Day, where researchers will present their startups.
This is a place where promising research seeds in the Chugoku/Shikoku region can be listed, and we offer a new form of industry-academia collaboration through the form of startup-company (e.g. collaboration between companies and university-launched venture companies (industry-industry collaboration))
